Social Isolation and Loneliness

Social isolation was a major problem before COVID-19. But in the context of a pandemic it’s even more important. Loneliness was and is a defining theme of many lives.

How do our institutions and culture encourage or discourage the relationships humans need?

Cardus’s special research will not “solve” a wicked problem like social isolation. But we work to raise awareness AND to stimulate reductions in loneliness and the conditions that cause it.
