Publicly-educated parents seeking other options for kids

Independent schools are part of public education. One in every fifteen Ontario K-12 students attends such a school, write Deani Van Pelt and David Hunt, two of the authors of Who Chooses Ontario Independent Schools and Why? which found that 75% of parents in Ontario who send their kids to something other than their neighbourhood public or Catholic separate school attended public schools themselves.
